TallGrass Natural Health is a leading omnichannel partner taking care of everything natural brands need to grow sales in Canada. We partner with brands and connect them to Canadian retailers, health care professionals and DTC ecommerce platforms to reach natural consumers. Our mission is to inspire and empower Canadian consumers to take a holistic approach to wellness.
As a certified B Corp, TallGrass continually meets rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
Marketing at TallGrass and Job Summary
We’re neither an agency nor a one-brand shop. Our 13-person marketing team shapes how Canadians discover, trust, and choose our brands—across independent retailers, national chains like Walmart and Loblaws, and a fast-growing direct-to-consumer business with brand-specific Shopify sites. This is hands-on, high-impact work where creativity, data, and purpose meet.
Marketing sits at the centre of our growth and team members have an opportunity to:
· Work across 14 diverse, natural brands
· Build both retail and ecommerce expertise
· See your work in the market—and in people’s lives
· Be part of a company that measures success by impact, not just revenue
· Have fun with a great group of people
About the Role
TallGrass Natural Health is looking for an E-Commerce Coordinator to support organic growth, on-site conversion, and merchandising execution across our portfolio of six direct-to-consumer (DTC) websites. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone early in their e-commerce career who wants to build broad experience across SEO, AI search visibility, merchandising, and conversion optimization, working across six distinct storefronts.
You'll execute the day-to-day optimization work and report into the Marketing Manager who sets overall strategy and priorities. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work and the benefits of in-person strategy sessions and mentorship. This is a great opportunity to grow as you help grow the company.

● Follow through – We honour the trust people place in us
● Show gratitude – We respect and appreciate everyone's contribution
● Do good – We care about the health of all people and our planet
Key Responsibilities/Critical Success Factors
Shopify and Transaction Management
- Support day-to-day maintenance of the six Shopify Plus sites: product listings, collections, pricing updates, and page publishing
- Monitor order and transaction data to help tie sales back to specific campaigns, promotions, or merchandising changes
- Set up and maintain UTM parameters and discount codes so campaign performance can be tracked accurately in Shopify and GA4
- Help reconcile transaction data with campaign reporting to flag discrepancies (e.g., a promo code not tracking, a landing page mismatched to its campaign)
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Execute on-page SEO tasks across all six sites: meta titles/descriptions, header structure, alt text, and internal linking
- Run keyword research to support content and product page updates
- Monitor basic technical health (broken links, indexation, Core Web Vitals) and flag issues to the manager or dev team
- Help implement content briefs and coordinate with copywriters on SEO-friendly product and category copy
AEO / GEO (Answer Engine and Generative Engine Optimization)
- Support implementation of structured data (schema, FAQs) to help AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews surface our content accurately
- Monitor and log brand/product mentions in AI search tools, and report findings to the manager
- Assist in testing and refining content formats that perform well in AI-generated answers
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Help build out and QA A/B tests on product pages, category pages, and checkout flows
- Pull and organize conversion funnel data to help the manager identify friction points
- Track test results and maintain a log of what's been tried on each site
Merchandising
- Execute day-to-day merchandising updates: product placement, cross-sells/upsells, seasonal and promotional page updates
- Keep merchandising aligned with current inventory and pricing, escalating discrepancies as needed
- Support the manager in analyzing which products/categories are underperforming
Cross-Site Coordination
- Apply shared SEO/CRO/merchandising playbooks consistently across all six sites
- Keep a running log of site-specific quirks, platform limitations, or ongoing issues
- Help coordinate with any external agencies, freelancers, or platform vendors as directed
Reporting
- Pull and organize weekly/monthly performance data (organic traffic, conversion rate, AOV) by site
- Prepare summary reports for the manager highlighting notable wins or issues
Core Competencies/Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or SEO.
- Some hands-on exposure to SEO fundamentals, on-site merchandising, or CRO, whether through work experience, coursework, or personal projects
- Curiosity about AI search tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and how they're changing organic discovery; no prior professional experience required
- Comfortable working in spreadsheets and learning new platforms/tools quickly
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Search, Shopify/platform admin is a plus but not required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage repetitive tasks across six sites without losing accuracy
- Strong written communication skills for reporting and cross-team coordination.
- Assist the manager in identifying which campaigns are driving actual purchases, not just traffic, using Shopify order data
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of schema markup / structured data
- Coursework, certifications, or self-directed learning in SEO or digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics certification, HubSpot Academy)
- Basic HTML/CSS familiarity
Great Work Perks
- Competitive compensation
- Wellness program and health benefits
- Staff product allowance and discount
- Education assistance
- Paid time off to volunteer
- Profit sharing and savings plan
- Hybrid office
Compensation
