Job Summary/Mission
We’re seeking a Marketing Ops Manager to be the operational backbone of our growing Vancouver-based marketing team and a key driver of our digital growth. This critical role ensures the efficient, timely and high-quality delivery of marketing initiatives by integrating expert project management, technical execution, scalable process optimization and business strategy.

Critical Success Factors/Outcomes
  • Oversee Marketing Project Delivery - Shepherd marketing projects across the lifecycle (e.g., creative production, campaigns, content creation, website updates) from initiation through completion and postmortem. Ensure rapid digital readiness and efficient time-to-market for high-priority digital initiatives. Create schedules and set realistic deadlines in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Resource Optimization – Develop and maintain robust project schedules using our project management platform (Clickup), ensuring realistic deadlines and milestones are set with cross-functional teams (Trade, Content, eCommerce). Monitor and optimize team workloads (internal and external) to ensure project demands align with business objectives. Track efficiency gains over time.
  • Centralized Communication – Ensure clear and consistent lines of communication across all project stakeholders. Serve as the central point of contact for project status and deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence – Lead process improvement initiative across the marketing team, including documentation and training. Ensure adherence to existing standards, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Creative Quality Control – Provide clear, constructive and insightful feedback on deliverables, effectively bridging communication between creatives, people in technical specialists and business stakeholders.
  • MarTech Health – Partner with Business Systems team to ensure the seamless integration and optimal health of core marketing technologies. Drive adoption of new tools and train the team on best practises.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization – Implement A/B testing tools and methodologies to improve conversion rates on DTC and B2B websites.
  • Current on Trends – Actively monitor the market and competitive landscape to proactively identity opportunities and present data-driven ideas for growth and optimization.
  • Performance Reporting – define, track and report on Marketing Operations metrics (e.g. throughput, resource utilization, deadline adherence) to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Technical proficiency – Advanced proficiency with Project Management tools (e.g. ClickUp. Asana and/or Workfront), Customer Relations Management, Marketing Automation and/or Email Service Providers (e.g. Hubspot, Klaviyo), Product Information Management  and  eCommerce platforms (e.g. Plytix, Shopify Plus) and Office productivity tools (Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, etc). Experience with integration automation and web analytics tools (e.g. Zapier, Google Analytics) an asset. Familiarity with content management systems, ecommerce merchandising requirements, product feed structures and asset distribution needs of Food-Drug-Mass retailers an asset.
  • 3+ years experience progressive experience in a high-volume marketing environments with proven experience managing workflows for eCommerce channels.
  • Values aligned - passion for the natural health, functional food and/or beauty industry, with values aligned with TallGrass and its customers

Compensation

$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
