Mission:
We are looking for a motivated individual who shares our company values to join our growing finance team in our Vancouver office, in a hybrid capacity. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will work closely with employees, management, and external partners to ensure the smooth operation of payroll functions and HR administration. This individual will also ensure accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and analysis, supporting the finance team with various responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. Key Responsibilities:
· Process payroll and related period-end remittances, deductions, and commissions for all employees, contractors, and consultants.
· Manage employee information and coordinate payroll changes, including on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, contracts, benefits, leaves, the employee handbook, performance appraisal processes, and HR-related matters
· Responsible for various deliverables for the period-end processes in accordance with GAAP. These include but are not limited to, reviewing journal entries, preparation and maintenance of various schedules, account reconciliations, reporting and rebates.
· Preparation of GST, PST, QST, and other related government remittances
· Collaborating with other departments with internal processes such as inventory controls/management and marketing programs
· Remain up to date on any local, provincial, and federal accounting, tax, payroll, and business regulations that affect the company
· Assisting with other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned

· Technical – You have advanced level skills with Excel, Word, Outlook and have experience with ERP systems (experience in SAP Business One and proficiency in HR software considered an asset)

· Detail-oriented – You are able to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
· Leadership - considerable mentoring and staff management capabilities and be able to reference past successes leading a team
· Experience – You have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting which include AP, AR, account reconciliations, payroll, and HR administration. You have excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with FDMA companies and in CPG considered an asset.
· Education - Post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Currently holding a CPA designation or working towards completion of designation considered an asset
